Information from Soc Trang City indicates that the Vietnam Rice Festival will take place in the province from November 8 to 11, 2025. This event aims to celebrate the agricultural heritage of the Mekong Delta and other rice-growing regions in Vietnam, while also showcasing the country’s high-quality agricultural products to international partners.

This year’s festival will feature a variety of activities, including scientific conferences focused on Vietnam’s rice and its agricultural heritage, exhibitions of modern farming tools, and stage performances that highlight the traditional agricultural practices of the Mekong Delta region.

In addition to these events, attendees can participate in several cultural competitions, such as a Writing Competition centered on Bai Xau, photography contests focused on Vietnam’s Rice in relation to climate change, and competitions dedicated to rice quality and the beauty of women from this region.

This marks the third time the festival has been held. The first edition occurred in Hau Giang in 2024, from November 28 to December 2, located along the vital agricultural lane of the Mekong Delta. This event is recognized as a significant occasion for promoting and showcasing Vietnam’s agricultural sector to the international market.
