Locals often refer to the cave as Tham Nang Lai, which translates to the Full-of-Fairies Cave in Vietnamese. Enveloped in myths of love and loyalty, Pa Thom Cave stands as both a natural marvel and a revered site in the beliefs of the people of Dien Bien. Perched high on the side of a mountain, the cave features an impressive arch-shaped entrance measuring 12 meters high and 17 meters wide. At the center of this striking entrance resides a colossal stone that resembles an elephant's head. Stretching 350 meters in length, the cave boasts nine arches of varying sizes, along with a multitude of stunning stones, stalactites, and stalagmites that create an enchanting atmosphere. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by three gigantic stones that evoke the image of a colossal snake. The stalactites and stalagmites exhibit diverse sizes and shapes, glistening mysteriously under the soft glow of candlelight. The interior is remarkably spacious, adorned with majestic stone formations that give the ceilings an opulent appearance reminiscent of a grand palace. Soft, colorful stalactites cascade like elegant curtains alongside silver waterfalls within the cave.

Beyond its breathtaking beauty, the romantic local legends surrounding love make Pa Thom Cave an alluring destination for travelers from around the globe.
