Hai Phong Airport (HPH) - Cat Bi International Airport

Hai Phong Airport - officially known as Cat Bi International Airport - is situated in Thuan An District, about 8km from the city center to the southeast.

The airport includes domestic and international terminals with separate arrival and departure gates on the first and second floor respectively. Big airplanes like Airbus A330, Airbus A350, and Boeing 787 are accessible to Cat Bi International Airport.

The domestic terminal serves flights to major cities across Vietnam such as Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang, and Can Tho. Domestic airlines that operate regular flights from and to Cat Bi International Airport are Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways. On the other hand, the international terminal opens a number of international flight routes to Macau, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, and so on provided by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Sichuan Airlines.

Domestic terminal

The domestic terminal sets the location to the east with 4 departure gates from 1 to 4. Check-in counters for domestic flights are from 1 to 16.

International terminal

The international terminal lies in the west of the airport with 2 departure gates 5 and 6. Check-in counters for international flights are from 17 to 29. From the arrival terminal, passengers can go directly to the parking area.

From Haiphong airport to city center

The distance from the airport to the center of Haiphong city is only 8km and you have many options to choose from to enter the town. You can either take a taxi with the average cost of VND 120,000 ($5) or motorcycle taxi at VND 60,000 ($2).

From Haiphong airport to Got Pier

The distance from the airport to Got Pier where most Lan Ha Bay cruise departs from is 23km, passing Lach Huyen Bridge - the longest sea bridge in Vietnam to this day and offering a breathtaking view of Nothern countryside side by side with bustling pier. One way taxi costs $20 and travel time approximately 20 minutes.

From Haiphong airport to Tuan Chau Island

The distance from the airport to Tuan Chau Island where most Halong Bay cruise departs from is 45km, following Hanoi - Halong expressway. This route includes passing Bach Dang Bridge, a recently completed bridge that has significantly reduced the travel time between Hai Phong and Quang Ninh. One way taxi costs $45 and travel time approximately 50 minutes.
