Visitors staying in Hanoi to reach 3.96 million first 5 months

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the total number of travelers accommodated in Hanoi has reached approximately 7 million for the first five months of 2025, marking a 30% increase compared to the same period last year.

A majority of these visitors are domestic travelers, which rose by 25% over the same period last year to reach around 5.5 million. The number of international travelers coming to Hanoi increased by 15%, totaling approximately 1.5 million people. This growth reflects the resilience and recovery of the tourism industry in Hanoi, especially after the challenges posed by the global pandemic.

Hanoi remains one of the most popular tourism destinations in Vietnam, welcoming millions of travelers from around the world each year. The city is famous for its rich culture and traditional features, showcasing a blend of historical influences from various eras. Some of the most visited attractions in the city include the Old Quarter, the Long Bien Bridge, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Additionally, new attractions and experiences have emerged, further enhancing Hanoi's appeal to both local and international visitors.
