Ho Chi Minh City

The weather forecast for Ho Chi Minh City does not seem promising this weekend. From Friday through Sunday, expect variable clouds and scattered thunderstorms, with a rain chance peaking at 60%. However, do not let the rainy season dampen your holiday spirit. The vibrant city offers numerous entertaining activities, including fireworks displays, visits to theme parks, and exhibitions at Sàn Art, so be sure to have a raincoat or umbrella handy.

1. New international airlines flying to Vietnam

In addition to existing routes, five international airlines have recently commenced regular flights to Vietnam: Air Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Jeju Air (South Korea), Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudi Arabia), United Airlines (USA), and China Airlines (Taiwan). Additionally, SilkAir from Singapore is assessing the feasibility of launching routes to Vietnam later this year.

In response to the influx of international airlines, Vietnam's aviation authorities are implementing projects to enhance the national aviation infrastructure. This includes significant upgrades to Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), Cam Ranh International Airport (Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa), and Da Nang Airport. Furthermore, the new Long Thanh International Airport is projected to be built in Dong Nai to accommodate the growing demand for passenger and cargo travel.

2. CAMA Festival returns to Hanoi

The CAMA Festival, an annual music event in Hanoi, is scheduled to take place at the American Club (19-21 Hai Ba Trung) on Saturday, June 2, 2025. As in previous years, the festival will feature a diverse lineup that includes various music genres such as rock, reggae, electro, and hip-hop, with performances from international artists including Turbo Goth (Philippines), Akil the MC, MC Hydrophonics, and DJ Tech 12.

3. UK band “Black Voices” to perform in Hanoi this May

The renowned UK band “Black Voices” is set to hold their first concert in Vietnam at the Hanoi Opera House on Monday, May 21, 2025, at 8:00 PM. Attendees can expect a unique experience that blends folk and contemporary music across various genres, including jazz, reggae, modern pop, and sacred music. Tickets are available at the Hanoi Opera House, priced between VND 50,000 and VND 500,000.

4. “Charming Vietnam” photo exhibition to be held in the US

From April 25 to 28, a photo exhibition featuring images from the new book titled “Charming Vietnam” will be held in the US, organized by Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam Consulate General in Houston, Texas. The exhibition showcases the spectacular beauty of Vietnam, encompassing its natural landscapes and daily life, providing viewers with a fresh perspective on the poetic S-shape country.
