During their meeting, Barducci and Long discussed various strategies to strengthen economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two nations. They also laid the groundwork for activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations, marked in 2023.
Barducci emphasized Florence's commitment to enhancing collaboration with Vietnam across all sectors, particularly in education and tourism. As one of the leading fashion hubs in Italy and Europe, Florence aims to offer scholarships to Vietnamese students aspiring to study fashion design.
Ambassador Long expressed his intention to work closely with the authorities in Florence to prepare for "Vietnam’s Days in Florence." Furthermore, it is anticipated that a Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce will open in the province on September 16, 2025.
