A recent report from the tourism administration in Vietnam reveals that despite challenges in the global economy, the number of tourists visiting Vietnam, particularly via international cruises, continues to increase sharply in the first 7 months of 2025.

An example highlighting this trend is Saigontourists, a reputable travel agency in Vietnam that partners with several international cruise lines. The company has welcomed approximately 210,000 sea travelers in the first 7 months of this year, which is an impressive increase compared to the same period last year.

Sea tourists visiting Vietnam primarily come from traditional markets such as Europe, the United States, and Japan, as well as new markets including South Korea, China, and Russia. Though most travelers typically spend less than a day in Vietnam for sightseeing, seminars, or trade fairs, they generally make significant expenditures on goods and services during their short stay.
