Vietnam Airlines launched non-stop flights to London

 

Vietnam Airlines, as stated in the official announcement, is to operate four flights per week from the two cities in Vietnam to London (Gatwick Airport) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. All flights are operated on Boeing 777 with the capacity of 307 passengers, and each takes about 12 hours, saving seven hours of previous transit time.

 

Moreover, passengers from Vietnam are offered a promotion fare of VND 20, 979, 000 (approximately US$999) for each return ticket purchased from November 18th, 2011 to March 31th, 2012 for all flights from January 1st to March 31th, 2012.

According to Telegraph, there were more than 80,000 English tourists visited Vietnam last year, and this number is expected to increase significantly in the year 2012 with the launch of direct flights by Vietnam Airlines. Telegraph also quotes Natalie Lewis, from AudleyTravel, a UK travel company has experience 15 years on Southeast Asia travel, as saying: “This launch makes it much more convenient and time-saving for western tourists who want to explore the Southeast Asia”.

 

This launch is the eighth non-stop route from Vietnam to four countries in Europe including England, France, Germany and Russia. It also increases the number of Vietnam Airline’s non-stop flights to Europe up to 29 per week and expends its network to 48 routes.Vietnam Airlines will offer 7 flights per week from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to London in 2015.
