The low-budget airline Vietjet Air has announced the opening of a new direct route connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Bangkok, Thailand, set to begin operations in February 2025.
According to the latest plans, the airline will operate one daily flight on this new route starting from February 10, 2025. Each flight will take approximately 90 minutes, with departures scheduled from Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 11:00 AM and from Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Thailand at 1:30 PM.
Before launching this new international route, VietJet Air prioritized serving the domestic market and has introduced numerous routes connecting popular tourist cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Vinh.
The launch of the Ho Chi Minh-Bangkok route is viewed as a significant step for the airline to expand its reach into the international market, particularly focusing on development opportunities in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia.
