Recently, the budget airline has launched new routes and increased frequency on several domestic flights, including a surprising new promotion that reduces ticket prices to only VND99,000 (approximately US$4).
With this new discount, the airline aims to increase the number of round-trip flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang to two per day, Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang to three per day, and Hanoi to Da Nang to two per day. The promotion offers up to ten thousand discounted tickets, available for purchase until the end of March 2026.
VietJet Air has been a notable player in the Vietnamese domestic airline market since its inception in November 2011, gaining a reputation for its bold promotional campaigns. The airline primarily focuses on domestic routes, operating eight daily round-trips between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, two daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, one route from Hanoi to Da Nang, and three to four flights weekly between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang. The route from Hanoi to Nha Trang is scheduled to operate daily during the summer season.
In addition, VietJet is set to open a new route to the northern port city of Hai Phong in early October 2025, with one return trip per day.
