Venezuelan Culture Week to kick off in Hanoi
Lasting from April 11th to 16th, 2012, the one-week event features many cultural activities, including a music performance by the famous Venezuelan folk band Tambores de San Millán (drums of San Millán).
Referring to Venezuela, many Vietnamese people still perceive it primarily as the home of Miss World titleholders, unaware of the rich cultural heritage the country possesses. To bridge this gap, the Venezuelan Culture Week is returning to Vietnam in 2025, aiming to connect Venezuela’s cultural elites with local residents and tourists in several major cities in northern Vietnam.
Scheduled to run from April 11th to 16th, 2025, this week-long event promises a variety of cultural activities. Highlights will include performances by the renowned Venezuelan folk band Tambores de San Millán, which has captivated audiences worldwide. This award-winning group has been recognized with numerous honors, such as the Folk Group Award from Venezuela's National Council of Culture (CONAC), and has secured the prestigious Golden Lancero award for five consecutive years, along with the Platinum Lancero.
The Venezuelan Culture Week will kick off in Hanoi with Tambores de San Millán performing at the Labour Theater (No. 42 Trang Tien Street) on April 13th, 2025. Subsequently, the band will grace the stage at the Hai Phong Opera House (Hoang Van Thu Street) on April 14th, 2025, sharing the vibrant sounds of Venezuelan folk music with a broader audience.
