Venezuelan Culture Week to kick off in Hanoi
Lasting from April 11th to 16th, 2012, the one-week event features many cultural activities, including a music performance by the famous Venezuelan folk band Tambores de San Millán (drums of San Millán).
Referring to Venezuela, most Vietnamese people just think of it as the home of Miss Worlds, and do not have many ideas how rich the culture of this country is. As one of very few Venezuela-related programs in Vietnam, the upcoming Venezuelan Culture Week, taking place in some major cities of the north of Vietnam is expected to bring Venezuela’s cultural elites closer to the locals and tourists.
Lasting from April 11th to 16th, 2012, the one-week event features many cultural activities, including a music performance by the famous Venezuelan folk band Tambores de San Millán (drums of San Millán). The band, which has performed in many corners of the world, and won prestigious awards like award for folk group by Venezuela national council of culture (CONAC), golden Lancero award for 5 consecutive years, and platinum Lancero, will warm up the Week by vibrant folk melodies.
The Venezuelan Culture Week is going to kick off in Hanoi with the first performance of Tambores de San Millán in the Labour Theater (no. 42 Trang Tien Street) on April 13th, 2012, and then in the Hai Phong Opera House (Hoang Van Thu Street) on April 14th, 2012.
