Train fares to decrease 10-15% in September

As announced by the Vietnam Railways Corporation, a discount of 10-15% will be applied to all rail fares on the Thong Nhat Trains (Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City) in the low season from September 5 to December 31.

Accordingly, passengers on an air-conditioned soft sleeper train coded SE3/4 will pay VND1,740,000 per ticket, a decrease of 13% from VND1,996,000, ticket for the same seat class on the TN1/2 train will cost VND1,282,000, a 10% decrease from current prices.

As part of the promotion program, other fees and costs including extra seat fares, freight rates, passenger insurance, train fares for beneficiaries and other service costs in the low season will also be reduced.
