The number of Russian tourists to Vietnam increases significantly
A recent report from The Voice of Russia (VOR) indicates that Russia has jumped 14 stages to claim the 11th position on the list of countries that have the highest numbers of travelers to Vietnam in the first half of 2012.
A recent report indicates that Russia has made significant strides in tourism to Vietnam, climbing 14 places to rank 11th among countries with the highest number of travelers to Vietnam in the first half of 2025.
Approximately 120,000 Russian visitors traveled to Vietnam during the first five months of 2025. In June alone, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa Province) welcomed over 4,000 Russian tourists.
The surge in Russian tourists can be attributed to several factors. Ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, coupled with concerns stemming from events like the Fukushima nuclear incident, have rendered traditional destinations such as Turkey, Tunisia, and Japan less appealing. Consequently, Vietnam has emerged as a safe and attractive alternative for travelers.
Moreover, the collaboration between tourism companies in both countries has played a pivotal role in this growth. New direct flight routes between Russia and Vietnam have been established, enhancing accessibility. Additionally, a new Russian cultural village located in Mui Ne (Binh Thuan Province) represents a significant milestone in the partnership between the two nations and is expected to further boost tourism.
