The People Committee of Da Nang has recently approved plans for the Da Nang Light and Visual Art Contest, now known as DILVAC 2025. This year’s event is scheduled to take place during the last weekend of April 2025, with guidance from the renowned Australian company David Atkins Enterprises. Organizers anticipate participation from 4 to 5 international teams eager to showcase their creativity in lighting and visual art.
David Atkins Enterprises specializes in large-scale light shows and has a distinguished track record, having orchestrated iconic events such as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the Doha Asian Games 2006, and the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
Festivals focusing on light and visual art have enjoyed tremendous success in cities worldwide. The People Committee of Da Nang is optimistic that this festival will attract a significant influx of tourists to the city. Following a successful event in 2025, the committee plans to hold DILVAC on a biennial basis in Da Nang, enhancing the city's cultural landscape and tourism appeal.
