Tet train tickets booking starts tomorrow
Tet train tickets will be available for booking from 8am of November 15th, announces Saigon Railway. The booking is supposed for passengers travelling from 14 - 21 January 2012 (before Tet holiday) and from 26 January 2012 to 3 February 2012 (after Tet holiday).
Tet train tickets will be available for booking starting at 8 AM on November 15, 2025, according to Saigon Railway. The tickets are for passengers traveling from January 14 to January 21, 2026 (before the Tet holiday) and from January 26 to February 3, 2026 (after the Tet holiday).
Under this plan, tickets for the Dong Ha, Quang Tri to Hanoi route can be purchased from November 15 to November 20. Tickets for the Hue to Saigon route will be available from November 22 to November 27. This applies for both one-way and return trips before and after the Tet holiday. Any remaining tickets will be on sale between December 1 and December 12.
Passengers booking through the Saigon Railway website are required to fill out a reservation form with their name and either an identity card or passport number. Each account can make one reservation for up to four people, with a maximum of eight tickets per reservation, including both outbound and return journeys.
Various payment methods are accepted, and passengers must collect their tickets within 72 hours after making a successful reservation through designated agents. Booking vouchers and reservation codes should be kept with passengers for collection at the ticket counters. Online bookings for train tickets can also be made via third-party agents.
Train travel remains one of the most popular transportation options in Vietnam and tends to experience overcrowding during peak seasons. The Tet holiday often brings about a rise in ticket prices, with increases expected to fall between 10% to 40% on specific routes this year. Travelers planning to journey by train are encouraged to book tickets as soon as possible to avoid potential scheduling delays and ensure availability.
