Tet Flower Festival in HCMC expected to be massive

Firstly organized in 2004, the New Year Flower Festival has been a highly expected annual event and indispensable activity to celebrate Tet holiday in Ho Chi Minh City.

First organized in 2004, the New Year Flower Festival is a highly anticipated annual event and an essential activity to celebrate the Tet holiday in Ho Chi Minh City. This year's festival, themed "Sea and Island," will take place from January 18th to 28th, 2025 (the 25th day of the 12th Lunar Month to the 5th day of the 1st Lunar Month) and is set to be a grand occasion.

Apart from the impressive floral installations along Nguyen Hue Flower Road, nearly 6,000 plants will be on display at Tao Dan Park in District 1 and Quoc Te Square in District 3 throughout the 10 days of the event. Various cultural and artistic activities, including Don Ca Tai Tu (Southern modern folk opera), human chess, traditional folk games, and Vietnamese calligraphy demonstrations, will also be held in the park, contributing to the festive spirit of the New Year.

In addition, 56 flower markets throughout the city are expected to transform the landscape with a vibrant array of flowers and plants. The flower market in District 8 will once again be set up along the embankment of Binh Dong and Phu Dinh ports. These markets will be open for a week, from January 16th to 22nd, 2025.
