Symphony concert at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House 12/9

Music lovers in the Southern metropolis are happily living in the days of rhythms with a number of grandiose performance, gala and concert.

Music lovers in the Southern metropolis are happily living in the days of rhythms with a number of grandiose performance, gala and concert.

While Ho Chi Minh Conservatory of Music is entertaining music enthusiasts with the biggest Guitar Gala ever and an exotic Italian Jazz concert, Ho Chi Minh City Opera House will warm up December and delight audience with a Symphony Concert conducted by the renowned German conductor Christian Schumann. The show is scheduled for one night only, and starting at 8.00 pm, December 9th, 2011.
 
The symphony orchestra of Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra (HBSO), under conduction of Mr. Schumann, will perform great music works like Overture Egmont by Ludwig Van Beethoven, Symphony No.40 in G Minor of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Beloved Vietnamese violinist Bui Cong Duy and pianist Pham Nguyen Anh Vu will also perform with the orchestra in the Concerto Grosso for violin, piano, percussions and string orchestra by Nguyen Manh Duy Linh
The concert features music works in both vibrant allegro and walking pace andante.

Christian Schumann has visited Vietnam many times and conducted the symphony orchestras of Vietnam National Academy of Music and HBSO. Schumann has been working at National Theater in Bayern, German and conducting prestigious orchestra like Bayerische Rundfunk Orchester (German) and Philharmonia Orchestra London (England).

Tickets range from VND 150,000 to 200,000 (VND 60,000 for students), and available at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, No.7 Lam Son Square, District 1 and HBSO office, no.3 Nguyen Van Dat Street, District 1.
