Red River Culture, Sports and Tourism week kicked off

The festival features a wide array of performances including art shows, water puppet shows, culinary exhibitions, fireworks displays, and traditional boat racing. This year’s event presents a golden opportunity for Hai Phong City to showcase its unique cultural heritage and the natural beauty of the Red River Delta provinces.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that tourism is a vital economic sector, contributing significantly to the country’s development and promoting Vietnam's image globally.
The opening ceremony drew thousands of visitors from both domestic and international backgrounds, creating a lively atmosphere filled with enthusiastic art performances and spectacular fireworks.
Hai Phong, among the Red River Delta localities, is rich in unique cultural values and boasts diverse natural resources that enhance its potential for sea and island tourism, particularly with attractions such as Cat Ba Island, which is in proximity to Ha Long Bay.
