Quatuor Diotima Show on Wednesday at L'Espace Hanoi

An exciting concert by Quatuor Diotima, one of the best in the world of string quartets is about to take place at Hanoi’s L’Espace at 8.00pm, September 22th, 2011.

An exciting concert by Quatuor Diotima, one of the premier string quartets in the world, is scheduled to take place at Hanoi's L'Espace at 8:00 PM on September 22, 2025.

The renowned quartet consists of four members: Vanessa Szigeti - violin, Yun Peng Zhao - violin, Frank Chevalier - viola, and Pierre Morlet - cello.

After winning the Contemporary Music Prize at the London String Quartet Competition in 2000, Quatuor Diotima has established itself as one of the most sought-after quartets in contemporary music, earning numerous awards over the years.

The ensemble has performed at many major concert venues and music festivals across Europe, including the Cité de la Musique, Berlin Philharmonie, Casa da Musica in Porto, and the Athens Festival. This marks Quatuor Diotima's first performance in Vietnam, and they are expected to receive acclaim similar to that which they have experienced in the USA, South America, and various Asian countries such as Japan, China, and Korea.

Historically, French and Vietnamese music have enjoyed a rich interaction. Many contemporary Vietnamese composers continue to be influenced by the musical traditions introduced by the French in the early 20th century. The ongoing cultural exchange between the two is seen as vital for fostering new interactions while also preserving historical connections.

Tickets are available at L'Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi, starting from August 22, 2025, priced at 100,000 VND, with a preferential rate of 50,000 VND for students.
