Quang Nam Province has initiated a comprehensive plan to develop an attraction around the historical tunnel system in Anong Commune, located in Tay Giang District. This site was a vital underground stronghold for the Vietnamese revolutionary army during wartime, and the revitalization aims to honor its significant history.

The development plan includes multiple phases focused on transforming the area into a premier tourist destination. Key elements will involve creating a visitor center that showcases artifacts related to the tunnels and the Ho Chi Minh Road, reinforcing the structural integrity of the tunnels, and enhancing the lighting system within the underground passages.

The Quang Nam tourism administration anticipates that once the project is fully realized, the tunnels will emerge as a compelling destination. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of the region and gain deeper insights into the resilience of the Vietnamese people during challenging times.

The tunnels located in Anong Commune were crucial for the Vietnam Revolutionary Army throughout the conflict. They served various purposes, including functioning as a military camp, medical facility, armory, and headquarters for strategic operations.
