Phan Thiet plans to become a national marine sports destination by 2025
To enhance its appeal to both domestic and international tourists, Phan Thiet city in Binh Thuan province, located in southern Vietnam, is actively implementing a plan to elevate local tourism into a nationally recognized hub specializing in marine sports by 2025.
As part of this initiative, a variety of watersports will be featured in the Hon Rom and Mui Ne areas, including paragliding, kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, and sand-skiing.

Additionally, the Doi Duong - Thuong Chanh beach resort has been selected as a prime location to host various beach activities such as beach volleyball, football, handball, cycling, and cross-country running.
Situated on the southeastern coast of Vietnam, Phan Thiet enjoys a climate characterized by consistent winds and sunny weather, with fewer storms throughout the year. As a result, the city administration is collaborating with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to create engaging and unique sea sports offerings tailored to the diverse interests of visitors.
Phan Thiet is also planning to regularly host international sporting events, featuring activities like kitesurfing competitions, yachting regattas, and hot air balloon festivals, further solidifying its status as a top destination for sports enthusiasts.
