Number of tourist increases forty percent at beginning 2012

 

In Vietnam’s top tourism destinations such as Sapa, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Mui Ne, hotel occupancy rates are averaging between 85-90%. Recently reaffirmed as one of the New7Wonders of Nature, Ha Long Bay has been a favored destination for both domestic and international tourists in January 2025, with many hotels reporting full occupancy.

 

Major domestic travel companies, including Saigontourist, Vietravel, and Hanoitourist, report a significant surge in customers, totaling approximately 152,000 during the Tet celebration. This includes around 42,500 inbound tourists, 70,000 domestic travelers, and 42,200 outbound tourists, reflecting a 40% increase compared to 2024.

 

 

Many foreign tourists chose Ha Long Bay for the New Year's trip

 

Hanoi, the 1000-year-old capital known for its rich cultural heritage, welcomed a remarkable influx of international travelers in January 2025, with 183,000 visitors, representing a 16% increase from the same period last year.

 

The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism anticipates a continued rise in tourist numbers from traditional markets such as China, Japan, France, Australia, and several Southeast Asian countries during the first quarter of 2025.
