No entrance fee for Hue Royal Citadel this Tet Holiday

Hue’s authorities have decided to offer no entrance fee to Royal Citadel for all visitors in the occasion of this Tet Holiday.

Hue’s authorities have announced that they will continue to offer no entrance fee to the Royal Citadel for all visitors during the Tet Holiday in 2025.

This policy is set to apply from the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 10, 2025) to the third day (February 12, 2025). During this period, there will be no charge to visit the Hue Ancient Citadel complex, which includes the Royal Palace, An Dinh Palace, and the Tombs of Tu Duc, Minh Mang, and Khai Dinh. All usual visitor services will be fully operational.

As of 2025, the entrance fees for the Hue Royal Citadel are VND 50,000 for domestic visitors and VND 100,000 (approximately USD 4.25) for international guests. An Dinh Palace remains an exception, with ticket prices at VND 120,000 (approximately USD 5.10).

The Royal Citadel and other sites within the Ancient Citadel complex are among the most captivating destinations in this enchanting city. Most of these structures were built during the Nguyen Dynasty in the 18th and 19th centuries, when Hue was the capital of Vietnam. Fortunately, the majority of the citadel complex has been well-preserved, with only minor damage occurring over the years.
