Ninh Thuan to build $10M theater for Miss Earth 2012

After over a decade of operation, this magnificent theater has successfully solidified its place in the cultural landscape of the region. Initially, it was a $10 million investment by Thanh Nien Media Corporation, and today it remains a pivotal venue for hosting various cultural events, both nationally and internationally.

The Coral Theater features a stunning shell-shaped design, with a curving roof that mimics flowing water. The complex spans an area of 4 hectares and can accommodate up to 2,000 guests. In addition to the main theater, the facility includes a state-of-the-art entertainment zone, a large shopping mall, and upscale restaurants, catering to locals and international visitors alike.
According to Nguyen Cong Khe, the chairman of Thanh Nien Media Corporation, the theater is strategically located near 20 Cham ethnic villages, allowing it to highlight the unique arts and culture of the area while showcasing captivating traditional performances to tourists. Today, the Coral Theater continues to host a range of significant cultural and sporting events, including Duyen Dang Viet Nam (Charming Vietnam), Miss Vietnam, Vietnam’s Top Model, and various international beauty contests.

While there was speculation about the Miss Earth 2012 competition being hosted at the Coral Theater, the event was eventually held at a different location. The theater continues to be a prime venue for such prestigious events and works closely with organizations like Carousel Productions Inc. and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam to secure future events.
