New Year Flower Festival 2012 to feature Vietnam Sea and Island
Besides featuring traditional culture and modern life as usual, the up coming New Year Flower Festival in Ho Chi Minh City focuses on sea and island topic, said the city’s vice chair Hua Ngoc Thuan.
The upcoming New Year Flower Festival in Ho Chi Minh City will feature a blend of traditional culture and contemporary life, shifting the focus this year to a sea and island theme, as announced by the city’s vice chair, Hua Ngoc Thuan. The festival is scheduled to run from January 18th to 28th, 2025, with the Nguyen Hue flower road display open from January 20th to 26th, while flower markets across the city will be available from January 16th to 22nd.
This edition of the New Year Flower Festival will retain its familiar structure, showcasing a vibrant array of flowers and trees along Nguyen Hue Road, a dedicated flower festival at Tao Dan Park, and 45 flower markets throughout the city. A significant area of Nguyen Hue Road will be transformed to feature flower-made mock-ups celebrating Vietnam's coastline and islands. Additionally, various musical performances inspired by the sea and islands are anticipated to enhance the festive atmosphere.
First held in 2004, the Nguyen Hue flower road and the New Year Flower Festival have become essential components of the city's celebrations of the New Year and the Tet holiday.
As a tropical nation, Vietnam boasts a stunning variety of flowers, with spring symbolizing their peak beauty. This grand flower festival in the city's heart not only highlights the natural allure of the country but also fosters a connection between citizens and nature, creating a serene yet lively atmosphere as they welcome the new year.
