Recently, several stunning caves have been discovered in the far northern province of Ha Giang, which are believed to have significant tourism potential. In addition, a remarkable collection of five antique stone axes has been excavated from the Dong Van Stone Plateau in the same region.
The caves were found by local residents of Ta Lung B hamlet as part of an initiative to develop the area into a Cultural Tourism Village. Some of these caves span over 500 square meters and maintain their natural beauty, adorned with hundreds of stalactites in various unique shapes and forms. Meanwhile, the newly uncovered stone axes range in size from 13.5 cm to 22 cm, featuring elegant carvings and are estimated to date back approximately 4,000 years.
The People’s Committee of Ha Giang Province stated that it is currently collaborating with relevant agencies to seek investment for the preservation of both the caves and the artifacts, aiming to promote tourism development and facilitate scientific research.
