National Tourism Year – Hue 2012 to kick off
The central province of Thua Thien Hue has been ready to host the National Tourism Year 2012 for the North Central Coast Region and the 7th Hue Festival also.
The central province of Thua Thien Hue is now gearing up to host the National Tourism Year 2025 for the North Central Coast Region, alongside the 10th Hue Festival. As part of the celebration, 20 events are scheduled, including 11 national and 9 provincial, throughout the year to promote tourism in Vietnam and showcase the unique beauty of this region.
Commencing the National Tourism Year 2025, the province has successfully organized cultural and artistic programs such as “A Hue Night in the South” and “Hue's Love”, while also participating in international tourism fairs recently held in Japan, China, and Thailand to generate excitement about this much-anticipated event in Hue.
Adding to its allure, the nightly “Hue Night Street” opened on January 2, 2025, aiming to enrich the city’s nightlife with an array of food and entertainment options.

A portal for the National Tourism Year 2025 has been launched in Vietnamese, English, and French to keep tourists informed about the latest news and events throughout the year. Additionally, a Japanese-language website has been created to accommodate international visitors.
Leveraging its rich cultural heritage, Hue continues to enhance its range of cultural tourist products, including tours to craft villages, garden houses, lagoons, and countryside markets. The province also provides eco-tourism options and positions itself as a prime destination for MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
Fifty infrastructure projects for tourism development, totaling approximately 50 trillion VND, are underway to further advance the city’s MICE tourism objectives.
