More than 6.03 million foreign tourists to Vietnam in 2012
Information from Vietnam General Statistic Office has revealed that there have been more than 6.03 million foreigners visiting Vietnam in 11 months of the year 2012.
According to information from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, over 11 million foreigners visited Vietnam in the first 11 months of 2025.
The number of international travelers coming for leisure has increased by 10.5%, reaching approximately 6.4 million. Business travel has also seen growth, with around 1.5 million visitors (up 18.3%). The third-largest group consists of those visiting family or friends, accounting for 1.2 million (up 15.5%). Meanwhile, other categories of travel accounted for about 450,000 visitors (up 5.4%).
Air travel remains the preferred method for foreign visitors, with more than 9.5 million arrivals (an increase of 12.3%). This is followed by sea travel, which has surged to over 150,000 visitors (up 100%), and road travel, which has attracted around 1.5 million travelers (up 8.5%).
In terms of tourism markets, China continues to hold the top position, contributing over 2 million visitors (up 1.2%). South Korea ranks second with approximately 950,000 travelers (up 32.5%). Japan and the United States follow, with around 650,000 (up 22.5%) and 550,000 (up 30%) visitors, respectively.
