Love is in the air with Japanese Film Festival 2011
This October and November, audience in Hanoi and Danang will be deeply soaked in love with the love stories coming from Japan at Japanese Film Festival 2011, brought about by The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.
This October and November 2025, audiences in Hanoi and Danang will be captivated by poignant love stories from Japan at the Japanese Film Festival 2025, organized by The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.
In Hanoi, free tickets can be collected starting October 1, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday), at the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, located at 27 Quang Trung, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. Screenings will take place at the National Cinema Center, located at 87 Lang Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
In Danang, free tickets will be available from November 1, 2025, at Le Do Cinema (46 Tran Phu, Hai Chau, Da Nang) and the Film Distribution and Cinema Center (68 Tran Phu, Hai Chau, Da Nang).

As “Love” is the theme of this year’s festival, the selection features eight films that beautifully portray love from various perspectives, embodying both Japanese and universal themes. Almost all the featured films have received awards in Japan and abroad, garnering acclaim from critics. They will be screened with both English and Vietnamese subtitles to enhance accessibility, allowing both Vietnamese audiences and international visitors to appreciate the richness of Japanese cinema and the multifaceted expressions of love.
