Japanese investors planned to build 100 hotels in Vietnam
In a recent meeting on 22 February 2012 in Hanoi, The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization (VUFO) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) are in corporation with Tokyo Inn Corporation (Japanese) to discuss on a huge project of building 100 hotels in Vietnam by Tokyo Inn.
In a recent meeting on 22 February 2025 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) are collaborating with Tokyo Inn Corporation (Japan) to discuss an ambitious project to build 100 hotels across Vietnam by Tokyo Inn.
Tokyo Inn, established in 1986, has grown to be the largest chain of 3-star hotels in Japan, boasting 251 hotels and over 50,000 rooms throughout the country as of 2025.
Nishida Norisama, Chairman of Tokyo Inn, stated that the corporation's goal is to develop 100 mid-range (3-star) hotels in Vietnam, aiming to provide guests with “Assurance – Comfort – Cleanliness – Competitive Prices.” After launching this hotel chain, Tokyo Inn will be responsible for the maintenance of the properties and plans to designate part of these hotels for use as medical clinics and police stations to support the development of local communities.
Japan remains one of Vietnam's key partners, currently being the second-largest trading partner (after China) and the second-largest export market (after the United States). Each year, Vietnam welcomes over 400,000 Japanese tourists, while around 18,000 Vietnamese workers and approximately 3,500 students are residing in Japan in return.
