Information from the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam reveals that a series of lectures and demonstrations on Japanese cuisine will take place on 17 November 2025 at Fortuna Hotel, 6B Lang Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. Japanese cuisine continues to captivate many young people in Vietnam, promising an exciting introduction to both its distinctive foods and the unique culture associated with them.

Takako Fujita, Headmaster of the Japanese Cooking School Fujita, will kick off the event with an insightful lecture on Japanese food culture. Following her lecture, she will showcase her culinary skills by preparing three dishes: Oshi-zushi (Pressed sushi), the soup "The Sunrise on New Year’s Day," and Ae-maze (a vegetarian dish).

Another lecture, titled “The History of Tempura and Food Cultures in Japan and Vietnam,” will be delivered by Kojiro Kobayashi, Director of Kyy Restaurant. Attendees can look forward to engaging performances by the restaurant's chef featuring Tempura (deep-fried fish and vegetables) and Teuchi-udon (homemade wheat noodles), which are sure to be highlights of the event.

Co-organized by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, and Kyy Restaurant, this event aims to foster both a formal and friendly atmosphere for all participants.

The Japanese government actively promotes its unique culture through various avenues, from fashion to culinary arts. Vietnamese audiences continue to experience a growing number of Japanese cultural events, eagerly anticipating what’s next.
