Jade Exhibition in Hanoi Museum

Starting August 2, 2025, tourists arriving in Hanoi will have the opportunity to admire over 140 historical jade items at the exhibit titled Vietnamese Antique Jade, hosted at the Hanoi Museum.

This exhibit features a selection from the extensive jade collection that belonged to the Louis Finot Museum prior to 1954, as well as a small portion of the larger collection comprising thousands of artifacts housed within the Hanoi Museum. Visitors can expect to see an array of items including exquisite jewelry, royal seals, Buddhist statues, and jade tools, along with swords and paintings inlaid with precious gems. These artifacts not only captivate through their aesthetic charm but also engage visitors with their significant historical narratives. Some pieces in the collection are over a thousand years old, with many originating from the royal treasures of the Nguyen dynasty.

This exhibit marks a commendable initiative by the Hanoi Museum to revitalize its offerings after a lengthy period with limited activities. Organizers of the event hope to draw in not only local Hanoians, who are seeking entertainment options, but also international tourists and expatriates visiting the city during this time.
