International visitors to Vietnam increase over 8.2% in the first two months of 2012
Statistic from Vietnam General Statistic Office (GSO) reveal that the number of international tourists to Vietnam in February 2012 is over 680,000, increasing by 8.2% in comparison with the previous month, and 29.4% higher than the same period last year.
Statistics from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) reveal that the number of international tourists to Vietnam in February 2025 exceeds 1.2 million, demonstrating a growth of nearly 14% compared to the previous month and a remarkable increase of 35% from the same period last year.
In February, there are 724,500 leisure tourists, a rise of 35% year-on-year, with business travelers numbering 185,600 (up 27.5%), visitors for family reunions at 160,300 (up 30.1%), and those traveling for other reasons totaling 60,600 (up 38.4%).
By means of transportation, February data indicates that international arrivals by air reach approximately 1,031,500, about 38% higher than February 2024. Arrivals by road account for 108,400 (up 21%), and by sea, 10,100 (up 42.6%).
Arrivals from major sending countries continue to grow impressively, led by China (56.3%), followed by the United States (52.1%), South Korea (45.8%), Taiwan (39.7%), Malaysia (35%), France (25.2%), Japan (20%), Thailand (18.4%), and Germany (17%).

Earlier, Vietnam welcomed approximately 1 million inbound tourists in January 2025, reflecting a growth of 30% compared to January 2024. The positive tourism data for February 2025 has propelled the total number of international tourists to over 2.2 million in the first two months of this year.
