International Tea Festival 2011 to be held in Thai Nguyen

Thai Nguyen has long been renowned in Vietnam for its premium quality tea. Once one of the major exports in the 1990s, Thai Nguyen tea significantly contributed to Vietnam's economic growth and enhanced its reputation in the global commodity market. By 2021, Vietnam had solidified its position as one of the top five tea-exporting countries in the world, alongside Kenya, Sri Lanka, China, and India, exporting over 150,000 tons primarily from Thai Nguyen.

With its vibrant green color, sweet flavor, and distinctive aroma, Thai Nguyen tea continues to rank highly in international markets. In November 2021, Thai Nguyen proudly hosted the International Tea Festival for the fourth time. This prestigious festival provides an opportunity for Vietnam to learn about teas from various countries, exchange knowledge about tea cultivation and processing, and promote Vietnamese tea, especially Thai Nguyen tea, to tourists and guests from around the world.

The Thai Nguyen Tea Festival is set to be held from November 11 to 15, 2025, in the city of Thai Nguyen and the scenic Nui Coc Lake area. Key activities during the festival will include an International Conference on Tea, an exhibition showcasing Vietnam's culture and people, a beauty contest on tea hills, and a cultural festival centered around tea. Alongside these main events, numerous other engaging activities are planned to enhance the festival experience, such as boat racing, Chinese chess competitions, traditional markets, folk music performances, and martial arts displays.

This year, the festival will welcome participants from ten countries, 30 provinces of Vietnam, 50 traditional tea-growing villages, and 25 enterprises within the tea industry. Organizers expect attendance to exceed 400,000 visitors, making it an unmissable event for tea enthusiasts around the globe.
