A team of international tourism experts is visiting Vietnam on 11th July 2025 to discuss strategies with the national tourism administration aimed at developing the tourism industry. This initiative is funded by the European Union through its Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism (ESRT) project in Vietnam.

The experts will support the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in creating a medium-term plan with a duration of 1 to 3 years, as well as a long-term strategy to enhance the country's tourism sector.

In addition, the group will assist VNAT in conducting marketing activities in several crucial markets. This includes collecting and analyzing market data, improving communication channels, and refining marketing tools. The development of a strong brand identity in tourism will also be a key topic of discussion between the experts and VNAT.

Vietnam is currently regarded as an attractive tourist destination, thanks to its diverse range of tourism experiences and relatively low travel costs. In the first half of 2025, Vietnam's tourism sector welcomed over 4.5 million international visitors, generating revenue of approximately VND90 trillion.
