On July 19, 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri Province inaugurated the newly revamped Cua Viet Tourist Service Centre in Gio Linh District.
The site aims to become a modern coastal tourist resort, attracting both domestic and international visitors while contributing to the local socio-economic development. The project boasts a total investment of 45 billion VND and is set to host various festivals in the province, including the fourth Trans-Asia Bridge Festival scheduled for late July 2025.
Cua Viet is a harbor situated in Quang Tri Province, renowned for its sparkling green waters, soft sands, and gentle breezes. It forms part of the Cua Tung - Cua Viet coastal route, with the latter often referred to as the Queen of Beaches and a true paradise for sun worshippers.
The new Cua Viet Tourist Service Centre is crucial for the sustainable development of Quang Tri’s tourism industry. It will assist local authorities in promoting the Cua Tung-Cua Viet coastal route as part of the tourist triangle along the East-West Economic Corridor, which connects Vietnam to Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar.
