Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2013
According to The People Committee of Hue City, the 5th Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2013 with its theme “Craft villages in tourism development” is planned to take place from April 27 to May 1, 2013.
According to The People Committee of Hue City, the 6th Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2025 with the theme “Craft Villages in Sustainable Tourism” is scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 2, 2025.
The event is organized by The People’s Committee of Hue City, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Tourism Association of Thua Thien Hue, and other relevant local departments.
The main purpose of this event is to showcase the heritage of Hue’s traditional craft villages, while also promoting the preservation of the city’s strong cultural traditions.
Major activities of the festival include an exhibition of handicrafts, a craft village fair, a photo exhibition on craft villages, and a culinary festival featuring dishes from craft villages across Vietnam. Additionally, there will be numerous other activities for visitors such as artisan meetings, artistic performances, and installation art displays.
Hue serves as a cultural and tourism hub not only for Central Vietnam but also for the entire country. It hosts a variety of cultural events on both national and international scales. One notable event is the annual Festival Hue, which attracts a significant number of domestic and international tourists.
