A group of representatives from different departments of tourism in Hue City and two tourism experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a working session in Thuy Thanh Village on October 3, 2025, to assess the strengths and weaknesses of tourism in the village and explore effective strategies for enhancing its tourism potential, particularly through community-based tourism initiatives.
During the session, participants were organized into three groups to discuss various elements of the village including its history, natural landscapes, cuisine, festivals, and traditional vocations. The team also engaged in several tourism activities to gather firsthand experience, which would inform their recommendations.
Thuy Thanh boasts stunning scenery and a wealth of cultural heritage. The warm hospitality of the local community is also regarded as a significant asset, positioning the village well for the development of a community-based tourism framework.
