Hue City to operate more electric cars at Imperial Citadel

The People Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province has just approved on the proposal of expanding the operation of electric cars transporting travelers to and around Hue Imperial Citadel. This is considered the next step of the development of electric car service in Hue City since 2009.

The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province has recently approved the expansion of the electric car service that transports travelers to and around the Hue Imperial Citadel. This initiative is regarded as an important milestone in the development of electric vehicle services in Hue City, which began in 2009.

The plan includes the introduction of 10 additional electric cars, each with a capacity of 14 seats, to supplement the existing fleet. There will be three main routes: one route from Nguyen Hoang Bus Station to the Imperial Citadel and back, a loop around the outer areas of the Golden City, and another route connecting the Imperial Citadel to the Imperial Relics Museum. Furthermore, two additional cars are proposed to operate within the inner area of the Imperial Citadel, ensuring that travelers have easy access to all attractions within this historic site.

The electric car project around the Imperial Citadel, which began in 2009, has received widespread appreciation from both local residents and visitors. It allows travelers to enjoy their experiences while minimizing discomfort from weather conditions. The vehicles are particularly favored by tourists, as they are environmentally friendly and do not harm the historical relics or the surrounding environment.

The Imperial Citadel is a prominent part of the Royal City relic complex in Hue. This site was once the working and living quarters of the Nguyen Dynasty's royal family and holds immense historical and cultural significance, representing over a century of Nguyen rule in Vietnam.
