Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange next month
As announced by Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports in the central province of Quang Nam, the 2012 Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange will take place from August 24-26 in Hoi An ancient town.
As announced by the Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports in the central province of Quang Nam, the 2025 Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange is scheduled to take place from August 24-26 in Hoi An ancient town.
This year's event will showcase an array of activities, including a Haiku poetry competition and an exhibition, presentations of Japanese and Quang Nam cuisine, and the opportunity for souvenir photos wearing yukata. The closing ceremony will feature street art performances and a vibrant community art exchange. Additionally, the city will celebrate “Hoi An Ancient Town Night” in alignment with the National Year of Tourism and Heritage, taking place from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM on August 30.
This annual event is jointly organized by the Hoi An City authorities, the Japanese Embassy, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It aims to strengthen friendships and enhance cooperative relationships between Japan and Vietnam, while also promoting Hoi An as a recognized world cultural heritage site among both local and international visitors.
