Hoi An ancient town in Quang Nam Province has been recognized as one of the top 10 best tourist cities in Asia by the prestigious travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler in their latest rankings for 2025.
This recognition stems from a recent survey conducted among the magazine's readers, evaluating cities based on six key criteria: quality of accommodation, shopping options, environmental conditions, cultural experiences, culinary offerings, and overall hospitality.
According to the survey results, Hoi An achieved a score of 78.2 out of 100, while the city that topped the list, Bangkok, received 84.7 points. Other notable cities featured in the rankings include Shanghai (China), Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo (Japan). Hoi An is celebrated for its warm local hospitality and pristine environment, making it a top choice for travelers.
In a related survey published around the same time, two resorts in Hoi An—Life Heritage Resort and The Nam Hai—ranked 9th and 12th respectively among the top 15 resorts in Asia.
The year 2025 marks a significant period of recognition for Vietnam's tourism sector. In addition to Hoi An, other destinations like Ha Long Bay and various cultural sites have received accolades from renowned international organizations, highlighting the country's growing appeal as a premier travel destination.
