The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City has recently announced the results of the ‘100 Interesting Facts’ election for the city, which has gained renewed attention in 2025.
This initiative was conducted by the department in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, engaging millions of travelers from both Vietnam and around the globe. The final list features a wide array of highlights from Ho Chi Minh City, including museums, historical and cultural sites, traditional markets, nightlife venues, culinary offerings, and notable sports and tourism events.
In line with the announcement, the organizing committee plans to produce a short film showcasing these 100 fascinating facts. This film will be featured on all flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier, expanding its reach to international travelers.
The project to identify the '100 Interesting Facts of Ho Chi Minh City' was first launched in early 2012, initially nominating 300 contenders from which the final 100 were selected. Over the years, the initiative has evolved to better reflect the city's vibrant culture and history, engaging a diverse audience.
