HCMC welcomes 310,000 foreign tourists in January

According to the data provided by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the city welcomes 310,000 foreign tourists, half of inbound tourists visiting Vietnam in January, 2012.

According to data provided by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the city welcomed approximately 456,000 foreign tourists in January 2025, making up nearly half of the inbound tourists visiting Vietnam during that month. Of this figure, around 370,000 travelers arrived in the bustling southern hub of Vietnam by air.

 
As Tet 2025 falls at the end of January, the month sees a significant influx of overseas Vietnamese returning to celebrate the holiday, with around 800,000 arrivals recorded at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
 
Ho Chi Minh City also welcomed over 1.2 million domestic tourists in January. The city's popular amusement parks, such as Suoi Tien and Dam Sen, alongside renowned historical sites like Cu Chi Tunnels, continue to be favorite tourist attractions. There has been a remarkable increase in visitor numbers, especially during the Tet holiday.
