Hai Phong first time to hold Red Flamboyant Festival late June

Hai Phong, the tourist destination of famous Cat Ba Island and Do Son Beach, the only province being licensed for casino business is appreciating its typical flower by a festival held in late June.

Hai Phong, home to the renowned Cat Ba Island and Do Son Beach, remains the only province in Vietnam licensed for casino operations. The city is set to celebrate its iconic flower with a festival held in late June. This event is part of the lead-up to the National Tourism Year 2025, which will take place in Hai Phong.

The festival is anticipated to feature a variety of cultural and artistic events, including photography and painting contests focused on the flamboyant flower, the Hai Phong Flamboyant Trading - Tourism Festival 2025, traditional artistic performances, and a bike parade along “Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Street.” Additionally, an opening ceremony will launch a new pedestrian street, alongside a vibrant tourism night market and the fifth City Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Festival.

The Red Flamboyant flower has long served as a symbol of Hai Phong City, inspiring poems, songs, and paintings, and firmly rooting itself in the hearts of generations of residents. While it is officially known as Hai Phong, the city is affectionately referred to as the “Town of Red Flamboyant” by the Vietnamese people.

The specific dates for the festival will be announced shortly.
