The Dong Van Rock Plateau is a breathtaking highland in the extreme north of Vietnam, covering nearly 600 km2 across four districts: Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac in Ha Giang province. It stands out as the only site in Vietnam and the second in Southeast Asia to be recognized as a Global Geopark, a title awarded in 2010. With elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,600 meters above sea level, this region has revealed numerous fossils dating back 400 to 600 million years.
Today, visitors to Ha Giang can not only conquer its towering stone mountains but also explore the geological park, trek to the remote villages of the Mong ethnic people, and immerse themselves in cultural activities such as traditional cow-fighting contests and local art performances. The charming and picturesque town radiates a vibrant festival atmosphere.
Last month, over 30,000 tourists, including 10,000 international travelers, visited Ha Giang, highlighting the allure of its stunning natural landscapes and the rich culture of its ethnic communities. So why wait? Come to Ha Giang and join the festivities during this vibrant week!
