Guitar Gala 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music is hosting the most significant guitar gala to date from December 8^th to 18^th, 2025, in celebration of its 65^th anniversary. Featuring a lineup of prestigious Vietnamese and international guitarists, the gala promises to deliver remarkable performances.

The ten-day event will include a variety of activities, such as: Guitar Master Class (Dec. 8^th- 13^th), Guitar Workshop (Dec. 15^th), Guitar Concert (Dec. 15^th), and Guitar Gala (Dec. 16^th- 17^th), among other exciting programs.

A concert at Ho Chi Minh Conservatory of Music

Participants in the one-week Guitar Master Class will be instructed in solo and ensemble techniques by Le Hoang Minh, a renowned music master from the Canberra School of Music, and will learn performance techniques from Kozo Tate, an acclaimed Japanese guitarist. Additionally, the Guitar Workshop will feature lectures on guitar anatomy and psychoacoustics by John Jiang from Taiwan, aimed at deepening attendees' appreciation for the instrument.

The Guitar Concert and Guitar Gala will feature well-known musical pieces like Waltz of the Flowers (Tchaikovsky), Lob der Thranen (Schubert/Mertz), and La Vida Breve (M. De Falla), performed by outstanding guitarists from Vietnam, Japan, Australia, and talented guitar students from the Ho Chi Minh Conservatory of Music, all expected to attract large audiences.

The Guitar Gala in 2025 marks the beginning of a series of international guitar galas planned by the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music in the upcoming years.
