Festival Hue 2012 ignites National Tourism Year 2012

 

In addition to traditional Vietnamese art and musical performances, and Hue’s captivating royal art shows, this year’s event will feature more than 30 art troupes from across all five continents. World-class artists are expected to showcase the essence of their native cultures, with special street performances that have been thoughtfully curated from major international festivals.

In conjunction with Festival Hue 2025, a series of extraordinary events that have been recognized and loved by the Vietnamese public over the years will take place. These include “Duyen Dang Viet Nam 2025,” “Sao Mai Diem Hen 2025,” the national professional drama festival, Vesak Festival 2025, the Hue Lantern Festival 2025, and the Bach Ma Mountain climbing tournament.

The Festival Hue 2023 attracted more than 3 million participants across various activities, welcoming over 130,000 tourists, including 30,000 international visitors. In preparation for the festival, Hue authorities undertook significant upgrades to Phu Bai Airport and enhanced local accommodation facilities, ensuring high-quality service for visitors during the festival. The city now boasts 220 hotels and 160 inns, offering a total of 12,000 rooms.

 

The ancient capital of Hue has a rich history spanning over 700 years. The city plays a pivotal role in the preservation and promotion of Vietnamese culture and heritage, featuring hundreds of intricate architectural works, stunning landscapes, and a unique royal gastronomy scene.
