Recent information from Lao Cai province indicates that the travel program for Fansipan exploration and conquering 2025 is set to launch in mid-December 2025. This initiative is part of the broader tourism campaign titled "Back to Origin – 2025," which is organized collaboratively by Lao Cai, Yen Bai, and Phu Tho provinces.
Approximately 60 to 80 professional climbers from various regions in Vietnam, along with international participants, are expected to take part in this two-day, one-night climbing challenge. The event will commence from Tram Ton, Sapa, located at the summit of O Quy Ho Hill, and will conclude at the same location. In addition to the main climbing competition on Fansipan Mountain, a variety of cultural and sporting activities will be featured in Sapa throughout the duration of the Fansipan tour, providing an extensive perspective on the area's tourism industry.

The stunning scenery of Fansipan Mountain
Fansipan is regarded as one of the most appealing tourist destinations in Northern Vietnam due to its designation as "The Highest Mountain of Vietnam." This site has become a favored location for mountaineers eager to embrace the challenges posed by its chilly atmosphere and unpredictable weather, aptly nicknamed “The Roof of Indochina.”
