Famed Latin musicians performing in Hanoi

 

In addition to the performances by Reyna and Yoshizawa, local artists Nguyen Lam and Bui Manh Dung will showcase their talents in Latin American music, utilizing the contrabass and various percussion instruments.

The selected venues for the concerts include Tuoi Tre Theater on December 15, University of Military Culture and Arts on December 16, and the National University of Art Education on December 17. Additionally, there will be several goodwill concerts held at Nguyen Dinh Chieu School, Petro Vietnam, and the National Academy of Public Administration in the following days.

 

Guitarist Maurice Reyna started playing the traditional cuatro guitar at the age of five and has since risen to prominence as a celebrated Latin composer. He has also made significant contributions as a radio and television producer in Venezuela. Harpist Yoko Yoshizawa, originally from Japan, has developed a deep passion for Latin music throughout her career. She has performed Venezuelan folk music with her harp in numerous countries around the world, with a special focus on Europe.
