Famed Latin musicians performing in Hanoi

Two Latin musicians, Maurice Reyna and Yoko Yoshizawa, are performing in a small concert in Hanoi from the 12th to 19th December.

Two Latin musicians, Maurice Reyna and Yoko Yoshizawa, are performing in a small concert in Hanoi from the 12th to 19th December. The show is organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Venezuelan embassy in Hanoi, in celebrating the 200th anniversary of Venezuela's independence.

 
Beside the performance of the pair, guests Nguyen Lam and Bui Manh Dung from Vietnam are also playing Latin-American music, using contrabass and percussion instrument.

The selected venues are as following: Tuoi Tre Theater on December 15th, University of Military of Culture and Arts on 16th and National University of Art Education on 17th. There will also be several goodwill concerts at Nguyen Dinh Chieu school, Petro Vietnam and the National Academy of Public Administration the following days.
 
Guitarist Maurice Reyna began to play traditional cuatro guitar at the age of five and had since become a famous Latin composer and also worked as a radio and TV producer in Venezuela. Harpist Yoko Yoshizawa was born in Japan but was much interested in Latin music. She has performed Venezuelan folk music with her harp in many countries around the world, mostly in Europe.
