Vietnamese Ethnic Customs Festival is set to take place from November 20-30, 2025, at the Cultural and Tourist Village of Vietnamese Minorities in Son Tay, Hanoi. Open from 8 AM until evening, this event is free for everyone and aims to highlight and promote the rich traditions of Vietnam.

The festival will feature performances from many ethnic groups, including the Choro, Cham, Ede, Jrai, and M’nong, with 250 to 300 representatives showcasing the cultural heritage of 54 ethnic minorities. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness unique rituals, such as the traditional wedding ceremony of the Cham and the coming-of-age ceremony for young men among the Ede.

In addition to performances, participants from five ethnic groups will exhibit their craftsmanship, demonstrating skills in creating traditional items including brocade textiles, intricately carved statues, musical instruments, and paintings. Visitors are encouraged to engage in hands-on activities and create their own gifts, enhancing their cultural experience.

Several ethnic minorities continue to face challenges in preserving their traditional costumes. The Cultural Tourism Village, which opened its doors to the public in October 2010, aims to safeguard Vietnamese heritage and present it as an appealing cultural destination for both tourists and locals. Situated in a sprawling 1,544-hectare area in Dong Mo, Son Tay, the village beautifully showcases traditional Vietnamese architecture.
